Your Trip, Your Trail!!

Mountain Pass Ranch, LLC, distributes horses to personal preference locations for your recreational purposes and unlimited adventures throughout the state of Oregon. Miles of groomed trails can be located on a forest service map. These trail maps can be purchased for your adventure at a local forest service district office or a hardware store near you.

Maybe you would like to ride the Pacific Crest Trail in the Columbia River Gorge, the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness in Eastern Oregon, or the Spring Water Corridor Trail around the city of Portland. Whatever the case may be, we have your horses available for your adventure.

Horses will be delivered with their own gear at no extra cost upon delivery. You will need to check with the appropriate agency or land owners in order to confirm your trail condition and equestrian status. This will help you to eliminate access complications and enhance your trail riding experience.

Mountain Pass Ranch, LLC, horses are disbursed from Local Eastern Oregon and Willamette Valley ranches in order to better care for the horses and to simplify pickup and deliveries.

We have a one hour guided trail ride available at our Eastern Oregon headquarters located in Grant County. We do not offer trail rides at any of our other branch locations, however, we do deliver horses from these local ranches!

Please note that all base location trail ride participants must sign a waiver or have one signed by a parent or legal guardian. This document can be easily downloaded from our website. Please be sure to have it signed by the authority of the child who will be riding. A separate agreement is required for all off base pickup and delivery of horses, and will be provided to you at that time.

Free pickup and delivery of horses is available. Private transportation is welcome with approved equipment. This will require a valid drivers license, proof of a current insurance policy on the vehicle that you will be using and a person who has had prior experience in the hauling of livestock.

If you have ever dreamed of operating your own outfit, Mountain Pass Ranch, LLC, is the place to get your horses. Our horses have all been trained to pack game, as well as equipment. We will not assist customers with the packing or loading of panniers with camping supplies, knots and any other thing associated with your pack trip. You will be responsible for your horses and all of the associated equipment, including but not limited to, securing your packs and cinching your saddles. If you prefer an outfitter's assistance, please call a licensed outfitter and pay the outfitter's price.

Reservations are required. We operate on a first call first serve basis. If you would like to make a reservation for a base location trail ride or if you would like to schedule a horse pickup or delivery, please call the ranch at anytime.
