Notice of Budget Committee Meeting

May 9, 2024

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Prairie City, Grant County, Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 will be held at City Hall in Prairie City, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 9th day of May, 2024 at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to hear the budget message and receive public comment on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the budget committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the budget committee. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 9, 2024 at City Hall between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

PRAIRIE CITY BUDGET COMMITTEE

Volunteers are needed to serve on the City’s Budget Committee. The members, including the City Council, meet annually for the purpose of receiving, deliberating, revising and approving the budget document as provided by the Budget Officer. Any proposed programs are discussed and considered during this process. Committee members serve a three year term. Applications are available at City Hall, 133 S. Bridge Street, Prairie City, OR. The Museum Director is responsible for the operation of the DeWitt Museum & Sumpter Valley Railway Depot, and its volunteers. This person is expected to work twenty (20) hours per week during the Museum’s operating season. That season would typically be from mid May to mid October.
