Better Blooms and Gardens Nursery recently celebrated our 6th anniversary. During the first year of business, Better Blooms and Gardens offered a few bedding plants and perennials, and a selection of tomatoes
Over the last 6 years, we have expanded and now offer a full line of annual bedding plants, specialty annuals for baskets and containers, and over 200 tried and true perennials. We work hard to offer high quality plants that work well in Eastern Oregon.
Better Blooms and Gardens now has a wide variety of deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs available for you to choose from.
We also carry three types of bark in bulk, mushroom compost in bulk, and garden compost in bulk, along with red cinders.
We begin planting for the next Spring in December and we plant until May. We make all of own baskets filled with high quality, long blooming, vegetative cuttings. We have water lily's, bog plants, and floaters.
With each new year we offer new and unusual plants. We appreciate suggestions, and your feed-back on how your plants thrive.
We are continually growing, and we now provide three full time helpers; Maggie, 4, Ellie, 2, and Abbie (born December, 2005). Maggie, Ellie and Abbie will be more than happy to entertain your little ones while you peruse our Nursery.
We are open seasonally, from April through July, and September through October. Call us for our exact days and hours.
We are located on Hwy 26, just four miles west of Prairie City.
