In the early 1900's, the present Prairie Drug & Hardware building was a two-story hotel which later became a butcher shop. In 1980, the adjacent building's common wall (previously a bank) was opened to house the County's best selection of Greeting Cards.

In 1984, an addition to the north side of the building was added to make room for a full-service hardware department. Here you will find anything you need in the way of plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, paint and painting supplies, solvents, ladders, nuts, bolts, nails, screws, electrical cords, light bulbs, and so much more. We also have RV supplies.

We have many items to intrigue any "out-doorsy" type. You can purchase your Hunting & Fishing license right in our store. If you need any camping, hunting or fishing gear to go with that new license, we have it!

We have kitchen utensils ranging from potato peelers to can-openers, cake pans to crock pots, oven mitts and pot holders to tablecloths, kitchen timers, dish pans and racks, pots and pans, toasters, mixers, blenders or food processors.
