2 Rivers Ranch Oregon Vacation Rental is located at the confluence of the John Day River and the South Fork John Day River where you can get ready for non-stop adventure. This vacation rental is on 114 acres with approximately 1 mile of riverfront and offers outdoor activities for every level of visitor.

Stand on the rocks where the two rivers meet and catch your limit at "Cannonball Rock". The river is shallow enough to walk if you like fly fishing and has swimming holes the kids will "flip over". Take a river ride on your favorite floaty or walk to town from the John Day River to Dayville's Town Center.

There are plenty of surrounding public lands for hunting, although, we have a "pictures only" policy, as we prefer to draw all manner of wildlife in for viewing. There are 3 elevated platforms 8' X 8', spaced on the riverbank where you can sit quietly from dawn to dusk - or dusk to dawn and enjoy watching the wildlife. Don't forget to bring your cameras!

The ranch house is split into two living areas. Upstairs has the traditional kitchen for that era with a pass through cabinet to the dining area. There are two bedrooms, 1 King and the other a Queen, and one bath. Satellite TV in the Living Room and in one bedroom. The back porch is the pathway to the downstairs apartment. A finished basement with two bedrooms, one bath and a kitchenette is heated by a nice "Blaze King" wood stove. We supply the wood as we also have a tree farm up on Strawberry Mountain.

While the ranch house is easy to find, directly adjacent to the "Dayville Mercantile", right off State Hwy 26, the privacy you feel is unique. Just sitting off the back porch looking toward the "Buttes" is all you might need for your day. Take a walk around the entire property, but you better bring a snack as you are sure to be distracted by a cute little family of quail, the beavers busily at work trimming the cottonwood trees, or the big resident toad in the pond that can startle even the savviest of hikers as it lets you get so close before jumping. The red tail hawk on the south field has a nice nest in the top of one of the bigger trees. She is the Mistress of all she surveys. The eagles arrive in late winter/early spring during calving time and steelhead run in the river.
